Croeso i Ysgol Gynradd Llandysilio! Welcome to Llandysilio Primary School!
Llandysilio Church in Wales School aims to be a caring, happy and creative environment in which ALL children can succeed!
In a small village by the name of Four Crosses, in the parish of Llandysilio, our school is a great place for children to learn and grow up at. All of us pupils enjoy and love our welcoming school, where we are taught in three classes!
We have an engaging wildlife area where we feed birds, build bug houses, have scavenger hunts and take notice of the wonderful nature around us. As well as the play area on tarmac and the adventure playground, we have a lovely grassy field for football and P.E in the summer! We have access to the community hall for assemblies and P.E sessions, along with Welsh games hosted by the Criw Cymraeg, a group in charge of all Welsh things, at break time. We are a bilingual school with Welsh lessons, along with Helpwr Heddiw every day!
We have three committees that we are voted into at the start of every new school year, depending on what we would like to be a part of. These groups are Eco Committee, Criw Cymraeg and School Council, which are each run by a different teacher.
We all encourage helpfulness, respect and kindness, just some of our school values, and recognising these in our Values assembly every other Friday. On alternative Fridays, Reverend Jim and Reverend Helen visit our school to provide collective worship, as we are a Church in Wales school and believe in Christianity. We also walk to our local church and take part in assemblies and services at St. Tysilio!
